Manitowoc Public Library Spreads Holiday Cheer With Santa Visit for Children

The Manitowoc Public Library brought a little extra holiday magic to the community yesterday by hosting a festive event where children had the chance to meet Santa Claus And VocalBox News Network was front and center. Families gathered in the children’s section of the library for "Storytime With Santa", which was transformed into a warm and welcoming space filled with excitement, laughter, and Christmas cheer.



The event featured several interactive segments designed to keep kids engaged and entertained. Santas Elfs led reading sessions, sharing classic holiday stories that encouraged imagination and a love for books. Between stories, children joined in on singing familiar Christmas songs, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere throughout the room. Parents looked on as their children clapped along, sang lyrics, and eagerly waited for their turn to interact with Santa.



One of the highlights of the event was the writing station set up for children to create their Christmas wish lists. Tables were arranged with paper and writing supplies, giving kids the opportunity to write letters to Santa and share their hopes for the holiday season. Some children carefully wrote out their lists, while others proudly explained their wishes out loud, adding to the sense of excitement in the room.


Jessica, who attended the event with her four year old daughter and six month old son, said the experience was meaningful for her family. “I love that the library does things like this. My daughter was so excited to meet Santa, and it is nice to have a place where both of my kids can be included,” she said.

Downstairs near the library entrance, families were welcomed with holiday treats. Children were greeted with cookies and peppermint Rice Krispie treats, giving them a sweet snack to enjoy as they arrived or before heading home. Jessica added, “It feels really family friendly and relaxed. You do not feel rushed, and the kids can just enjoy being kids.”



The Santa event at the Manitowoc Public Library offered families a free and accessible way to celebrate the season together. By combining literacy, creativity, and holiday fun, the library created a memorable experience that brought the community together and reminded everyone of the simple joys of the Christmas season.
